Jeff Mallinson was raised in Monroeville, Alabama — the hometown of To Kill a Mockingbird author Harper Lee. As a young man, Jeff even spent time cutting grass for Harper Lee and her sister Alice, who later served as the closing attorney on his first home — a small-town connection that still makes him smile.
In 1993, Jeff moved to Montgomery and joined Georgia Carpet Outlet, later known as Georgia Floors Direct. Starting in the warehouse, he worked his way through sales, management, and eventually co-ownership with Dick McAdams in 2001. In 2021, Jeff became the sole owner, continuing Dick’s long legacy of service while growing the company into one of Central Alabama’s trusted full-service flooring providers.
Jeff has been married to his high school sweetheart for 36 years. Together they’ve built a life in Montgomery, raising three sons and now enjoying four grandchildren. Their church home since 1997 has been Harvest Family Church, a cornerstone of their faith and community life.
Today, Jeff takes pride in serving the flooring, countertop, and window-covering needs of families and businesses across Central Alabama — doing business the right way, taking care of people, and standing behind every job.
